Fireground Channels

The NSW Rural Fire Service (RFS) makes use of both the GRN and conventional UHF and VHF PMR frequencies when winthin the GRN footprint for communications between appliances and communications centres (FireCom). In country areas, or areas outside the GRN footprint, conventional UHF PMR is exclusively used. When at an incident, fire-fighters normally use the PMR simplex frequencies. however UHF CB may also be used, especially in country areas.
